The Difference-Maker Award winner must be a graduating senior from one of the following ISD high schools in Region 19 / El Paso County, class of 2022:
El Paso ISD
San Elizario ISD
To be nominated for this award, the volunteer service project performed by a graduating senior in the ISD's listed above, must not be associated with any curriculum requirement, a school service project, or community program.
The nomination period for the 2022 Difference-Maker Award is open now.
The award presentation typically occurs at a local school assembly, an organization meeting, or in a classroom. The exact date, time and location of the presentation will be determined by the local school district/campus in coordination with the Mentorship Program.
Who May Nominate?
Nominations may be submitted by teachers, coaches, counselors, and principals.
What are the steps for nominating?
One one PDF, in 500 words, describe why the student is a Difference-Maker in their classroom, school campus, and community. Detail how the outstanding service work has benefited others. Please include multiple photos.
Additionally, include the nominator's information, the nominee's permission to be nominated, and have their information shared publicly (parent or guardian signature is required for nominees under the age of 18).
